Leaker Tom Henderson recently claimed that several people have confirmed to him that the Remake of The Last of Us is “near to completion” and will be released in late-2022.
Naughty Dog’s Co-President Neil Druckmann said that he is “dying to share” all of the content that the developers have been working on during Sony’s CES 2022, and we’re hoping that The Last of Us Remake is one of them. The report claimed that Playstation’s Visual Arts Service Group was the lead developer for the game, before being “relegated” to a support studio. The Last of Us Remastered on PS4 seemed to sell very well, and Sony would be keen to replicate that success.

The Snitch posted a date of September 2nd, 2022, and Henderson followed up by claiming “this makes sense to be TLOU remake – but I am not 100% sure yet.” However, there has been a leak on Twitter from a user named The Snitch, which has been quoted by noted insider Tom Henderson. Some fans are questioning Sony’s decision to charge full price for The Last of Us remake, given that it looks like a pretty faithful 1:1 translation.
